It is even more unreliable if you are trying to use it for live view and camera control. My mount uses a dedicated USB connection to the camera. It relies on Android apps such as DSLR Controller for its full functionality:

Furthermore, even if you do use WiFi for camera control, you can still avail of KB Mount. It’s just a “dumb” piece of hardware that is software/device neutral.

Also in addition to an absolute dslr technology why would one add a device.
